PST Expansion Impact Survey for CHBA BC Members

Disclaimer: The following information is collected exclusively for the purpose of advocacy and will be anonymized and reported in aggregate.

Context: BC Budget 2026 includes a provision that expands the PST to apply to the full cost of accounting services, and 30% of the cost of architectural, engineering, and geoscience services (as conducted by a registered architect/engineer/geoscientist).

e.g. if a bill for architectural services (from a registered architect) is $100, the 7% PST would apply to 30% of $100, resulting in an effective PST rate of 2.1% on the full fee (7% x 30% = 2.1% of full fee of $100).
